Honda cars India today introduced a new variant of its family compact sedan Honda Amaze by introducing its CNG Avatar. New variant of Amaze 1.2L S MT plus (i-Vtec) is modified as so it could be compatible for CNG option. In recent times Amaze CNG variant has been spotted many a times in the country. New variant of Amaze is not a full fledge CNG variant or equipped with CNG kit from the company, it’s a modified variant with bi-fuel option of CNG and Petrol.
Honda approved CNG kit will be fitted to this new 1.2L MT plus petrol variant at the Honda dealerships and where CNG fuel is available. This engine will produce 88PS power and 109Nm torque coupled with a 5 speed manual gearbox and expect the CNG Amaze to deliver a fuel efficiency of 22-23km/kg.
Honda has specially tuned this variant during the production to make it compatible to CNG by fitting CNG specific components, suspension, wiring harness to ensure high quality and performance.
According to Honda this new variant will suit or made for those who are looking for alternate fuel option with low running cost and high performance. This new variant will come with 2 year warranty as standard for all buyers.
The price of MT plus is Rs. 5, 99,585 (ex-showroom Delhi) and CNG kit installation costs Rs. 54,315 so the total price of Amaze new variant stands at Rs. 6.54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
