Honda Cars India has announced the launch of a new limited edition of Amaze sedan called as Amaze Privilege. The edition comes at an introductory price of Rs. 6.48 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 7.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel. The Privilege edition is based on S (O) T grade and comes at Rs. 10,000 expensive over the standard variant.
Honda hasn’t made any cosmetic changes except for the side body graphics and Privilege badge on the boot. On the inside, it includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system known as Digipad accompanied by 3D navigation, Mirror link, 1.5 GB internal memory and live traffic support. It also supports voice command, AUX-in, USB, Micro SD card, HDMI-IN and Bluetooth telephony.
Besides Digipad, the cabin is also adorned with driver side armrest, ‘Privilege edition’ embedded seat covers, steering mounted controls, digital AC controls, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags and ABS (anti-lock braking system).
The Privilege edition remains mechanically unchanged; it continues to get power from a 1.2l I-VTEC petrol engine that makes 86bhp power and 109Nm of torque along with 1.5l I-DTEC diesel engine that makes 98bhp power and 200Nm of torque developing 98bhp and 200Nm torque. Both engines are clubbed to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
