Ford has launched new edition its compact SUV EcoSport range that sports new additional features. Badged as EcoSport Platinum, it is available with 1.0l EcoBoost engine priced at Rs. 10.39 lakh while 1.5l diesel trim is priced at Rs. 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The limited edition is priced at a premium of Rs. 70,000 over the standard variants. We had earlier reported that Ford will be giving minor updates before the major facelift slated for upcoming festive season.
In terms of changes, Ford has given a dual tone body shade with black roof top to lend sportier look, tweaked front and rear bumpers, new 17 inch alloy wheels with wider tyres. On the inside, the Platinum edition gets cruise control, rear centre armrest, an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built satellite navigation, DVD player and rear view camera assistance. Similar to top spec Titanium Plus trims, the Platinum edition gets six airbags along with ABS with EBD.
It is available with 1.0l EcoBoost petrol mill which is good for 123bhp power and 170Nm of torque and delivers a fuel efficiency of 18.88kmpl. The 1.5l TDCi diesel engine makes 99bhp ox max power and 205Nm of torque and returns an impressive mileage of 22.27 Kmpl. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Ford EcoSport Platinum Edition will be sold in limited numbers and already available across all the dealerships in the country.
