Ford Figo and Aspire Loses out on features across the range

Off lately, Ford has been tweaking all its models in India. After equipping additional airbags and ABS to aspire and Figo, the US auto major has made some changes in the feature list of Figo hatchback and Aspire compact sedan. While enthusiasts have been waiting for the facelifted EcoSport which is likely to hit Indian showrooms soon, Ford comes up with tweaked feature list headlines.

Starting with base Ambiente, Figo loses out on passenger side vanity mirror, front grille bars and surround now gets black out treatment replacing the silver one. Coming to trend grade, which loses out silver front grille bars, fabric door panel insert and the lunar grey inserts around the steering wheel and audio bezel.

Height adjustable seat belts now available only with top spec Titanium plus variant while it was earlier available with the Titanium trim. In addition, driver side vanity mirror has been removed from Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ models.

Coming to the Aspire sedan, silver front grille surround and bars and passenger side vanity mirror are now removed from the Ambiente trim. The Silver coated front grille has been replaced with silver painted one on the trend variant. Moreover, it also loses out on lunar grey bezel around system unit and steering wheel along with the fabric door panel insert. Similar to Hatch, Driver side vanity mirror has been removed from all variants. Height adjustable seats belts are now limited to top spec Titanium+ trim.

Besides cutting off the features both continue to run on the similar engines. A 1.2-litre Ti-VCT engine that makes 87bhp@6300rpm and 112Nm of torque, linked to a five speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre Ti-VCT, is good for 110bhp@6300rpm and 136Nm@4250rpm of torque with 6-Speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The Oil burner 1.5-litre TDCi, is capable of making 99bhp of power and 215Nm of torque and comes with a five-speed manual gearbox.
