Finally Fiat is bringing its performance based ‘Abarth’ brand in India with the launch of Abarth 595 at the Autocar performance show which is scheduled to take place B/W 11-14 December 2014 in Mumbai. So it will become the first vehicle to exhibit the scorpion (Abarth) badge in the country. Fiat will launch Abarth 500 which is a performance oriented car in India by the end of December 2014.
Abarth 595 will be available only in available units and it will get power from 1.4L turbo charged petrol engine which churns out decent power of 158bhp and 210Nm torque. The torque can be increased to 230Nm by pressing the sport mode coupled to a 5 speed AMT gearbox with manual transmission available. This compact hatchback can sprint 100 km mark just 8 seconds with the top speed of 210 km/hr which will it fastest hatchback in the country.
This Pocket rocket Abarth 595 measures at 3657mm in length, 1627mm wide and 1485mm tall( height) and it will ride 17” mag wheels 205/40 Pirelli PZero tyres and graphite finish for ORVM’s.
Cabin of this mean looking hatchback will be equipped with machined alloy pedals, racing car like seats, flat bottom steering wheel and graphite treatment for dashboard as well like Outer rear view mirrors. Apart from treatment dashboard will get LCD display with MFDs.
Fiat Abarth 595 is expected to be priced around 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will loggerhead with MINI cooper 3 door version.
