DC, the supercar maker is all set to launch its ambitious powerhouse car in first quarter of 2015 for which bookings have already commenced for the token of Rs. 5 lakh. DC Avanti seems to gain popularity among the young enthusiast as it manages to get 450 pre-launch bookings already out of which 300 will be exported to other countries. DC will made only 500 units in first year of production out which 450 have been booked so hurry up if you want to own a sexy supercar at the affordable price of 35-40 lakhs.
DC aims to manufacture 2000 units of Avanti in the next two years with project costing around Rs. 125 crores with the first delivery to commence around March 2015. DC Avanti was first showcased in 2012 at Auto Expo than again it was shown in 2014 auto expo.
Under the bonnet this ruthless supercar to get power from Renault sourced 2.0 turbocharged petrol engine responsible to produce 260bhp power and 360Nm of peak torque paired to a six speed manual transmission. Avanti can accelerate 0-100 km in 7 seconds with the top of 250 km/hr.
DC Avanti is 4550mm long, 1965mm wide and 1200mm tall with the good ground clearance of 170mm which will able to cope with Indian roads. As per this price range it will give stiff competition to Mercedes A class, Audi A3 sedan and BMW 1-series.

Mr. Dilip Chhabria on the performance of the car, he says “It doesn’t have that kind of raw horse power (500bhp), primarily because; you don’t need that in India.”
