Datsun Go, Go+ Style editions launched in India; Starts at Rs. 4.06 lakh

Datsun revealed a teaser image yesterday and it indicated the launch of Go+ MPV cross version but it turned out to be its special limited edition. The Nissan owned affordable brand Datsun has launched the style editions of Go hatchback and Go+ MPV in India priced at Rs. 4.06 lakh and Rs. 4.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The Style editions will be on sale for limited time period i.e. August to October 2016 at all Datsun dealerships.

The Style editions will come in a new cool blue color shades in addition to the current Ruby and white paint schemes. Apart from new vibrant color, the Go and Go+ style comes with some cosmetic enhancements like new roof rails, yellow and black body graphics, ‘style’ moniker, chrome tip exhaust and rear mounted roof spoiler.

Inside the special edition you get a choice piano black central console with silver chrome and dual tone black beige upholstery. In addition, the cars are already equipped with front power windows, speed sensitive electric power steering, central locking, mobile dock system with USB charger and Aux-in support.

Datsun Go Style

On mechanical front things are untouched, both continue to extract power from a 1.2l three cylinder petrol engine which good for 67bhp power@5000rpm and 104Nm of torque@4000rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and delivers a fuel efficiency of 20.6 Kmpl.

Brand’s first two launches weren’t successful enough and failed to deliver sales volumes for the carmaker despite of their competitive pricing. But it seems things are changing for the brand ever since Redi-Go was launched as it has received over 10,000 bookings.
