Chevrolet Captiva SUV is known for its safety, performance, features and styling in the international markets but when it comes to India it struggles to deliver good sales number for General Motors. In order to add fresh life to it GM launches refreshed premium SUV Captiva with more features at starting price of 25.13 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the manual transmission version while it’s automatic version to cost at Rs. 27.36 lakh.
2015 Chevrolet Captiva continues to flaunt muscular and contoured hood, conventional Chevrolet grille, big air dams and protector headlight units. Side Profile has 17 inch alloy wheels, character lines across the sides and partial black cladding at the lower ends. Rear end of 2015 Captiva gets LED tail light clusters, circular reversing lights and twin exhaust tail pipes provides Captiva the sporty look.
Inside the cabin 2015 Captiva sports some new features like refreshed instrument cluster and new cluster ionizer which purifies and deodorize cabin interiors. Apart from these two features Captiva is same with all black theme based interiors, leather seating, stylish sunroof, rain sensing wipers, Dual zone air conditioning, illuminated glove box and 2 DIN audio system with six speakers.
Some of the features like tinted automatic windows, eight way adjustable driver’s seat and three 12-volt power sockets are now standard equipments in 2015 Captiva.
2015 Captiva has a special feature called level ride suspension system which automatically maintains nominal ride height under contrary road conditions and assures good ride quality for the passengers.
As we earlier told you that Captiva is famous for its safety aspect so compliment that it comes with 6 airbags including seat and roof side airbags, four channel ABS with brake assist equipped discs, front seat belt with pre-tensioners etc.
Powering the 2015 Captiva is the same tried and tested 2.2L diesel engine that produces an output of 186.5bhp@3800rpm and 400Nm torque@2000rpm coupled to a six speed automatic gearbox and all wheel drives system.
