The German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz surprises the people at Auto Expo 2014 with its many breathtaking models including its GLA class in SUV category. The model was first showcased at the Shanghai Motor Show and now has made its debut in India too. As per the company, it is expected to be launched in country by the mid or end of this year. At the ongoing Automobile show, the GLA was revealed in Metallic Red color and was clearly being one of the showstoppers of luxury brand Mercedes-Benz.
Price:
This luxury SUV is expected to come with a very competitive price as per the Indian car market which might be around 27-30 lakhs.
Engine details:
As it’s a debut model, its first variant will be armed by a 2.0 liter, 4-cylindeMercedes-Benz autoexpo, Mercedes-Benz GLA – auto expo, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Auto Expo – 2014, Auto Expo – 2014 newsr, turbocharged petrol engine good to produce max power of 207bhp while peak torque of 350Nm. Also, Mercedes-Benz’s family engine which is already powered in it’s A as well as B class is expected to equip in this GLA class too. This engine contains diesel fuel which is of 2.2 liter. These adorned engines in this GLA class will be mated with 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and also offered a 4-MATIC all-drive system.
Interior & Exterior:
Mercedes-Benz’s this compact SUV has a sporty character and sophisticated design which make people to attract towards this. It has a classy interior made with excellent quality material and equipped with the top-end luxury, comfort as well as safety features. The muscular and imposing appearance of the exterior is systematically continued into the interior. It’s one of the much awaited cars by company which definitely justifies the badge of Mercedes-Benz.

Commenting on the surprise showcase of the European production model GLA Mr. Kern said, “We are thrilled to bring the actual production model of the GLA, the most awaited compact luxury SUV in the Indian market. All efforts are now concentrated on introducing this SUV in the Indian market at the earliest.”
