Finally Honda has stamped our earlier report that company is going to unveil its trendy MPV Mobilio. While it has been officially revealed today, company will also showcase this Mobilio at Auto Expo 2014. It is Honda’s first car in MPV segment in India and company wishes that it will get the same appreciation and love like its other models. Though, people will have to wait for its launch coz company is planning to launch this mid size MPV along with one more new hatchback Jazz during 2014-15.
Price:
The expected price tag of this car is around 6.5-9.0 lakhs, it is a tentative cost though but seems quite competitive as per its same segment models.
Engine details:
Reportedly, the MPV Mobilio is expected to power by the 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine (same as Amaze & all new City), also a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine option might available as well. While the diesel fuel is good for churning out the max power of 98bhp, the petrol fuel produces 117bhp. Also, both the engines are expected to mate with a 5-speed manual transmission while an automatic one might present as an option too.
Space & Dimension:
As per the company, the Mobilio features styling and a spacious cabin, which can seat seven occupants in three-row configuration. Honda Mobilio marks an evolution in the MPV segment by offering a unique combination of Sporty Exterior styling along with space, comfort and utility in just the right size to suit the needs of the modern Indian family.
Interior & Exterior:
By having a muscular face and body, it is definitely going to give a tough fight to its rivals in same segment. Its new fog lamps, broad horizontal slat chrome grille, 15 inches alloy wheels and modified tail lamps etc are increasing its charm even more. Contrary, at inside cabin, it is designed with a fine quality material, spacious interior and other requisite features like 3-spoke steering wheel, AC, audio system etc.
Main Rivals in India:
In Indian car market, the Honda Mobilio’s main rivals are Maruti Ertiga,Chevy Enjoy and Nissan Evalia etc.

With excellent response to the all-new City and two big launches planned during 2014-15, we expect the momentum to continue. To be geared up for our future growth, we will expand our dealership network by over 35% to 230 facilities in 150 cities by the end of March 2015.”
