In this 12th Auto Expo, BMW launched it’s much awaited 3-series GT which seems to have a good combo of luxury and performance. This luxury model is being manufactured at company’s Chennai plant in India and BMW is claiming that this 3-series GT would be available from March 2014 onwards at BMW dealerships across country.
Price:
The BMW 3-series Gran Turismo is available in just one diesel variant namely BMW 320 GT which costs at 42.75 lakhs.
Engine & Performance:
A 1995cc, 2.0 liter BMW Twin-Power Turbo diesel engine is making its presence in this luxury car and develops the max power of 184bhp and peak torque of 380Nm and mated with a steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission. As per its fuel economy is concerned, it offers an impressive mileage figures of 19.59 km/l.
BMW claims this car to offer a driving pleasure on road along with a new dimension in efficiency. It accelerates 0-100km/h in mere 7.9 seconds with the top speed of 226km/h.
Space & Dimension:
This luxury sedan offers a spacious inside cabin which has capability to take five passengers-in with ease and also has 40:20:40 seat split system. It is 4824mm in length, 2047mm in width and 1508mm in height along with the amazing wheelbase of 2920mm. Its car boot capacity is 520 liters which can be extended to 1600 liters by folding the seats.
Interior & Exterior:
The appearance of the all-new BMW 3 series GT is at once multifaceted and thrilling. The active rear spoiler, air breather, automatic tailgate with wide opening, elongated silhouette, coupe-like roofline, frameless doors, panorama glass roof and spacious cabin, all these can be availed in this new luxury car.
Its outside glimpse is cool and classy which includes 18 inches Multi-spoke style alloy wheels, chromed rear bumpers, chromed kidney bars, front bumper elements in chrome, tailpipe trim in chrome etc. This chrome finishing makes it glimpse sharp and soothing.
Contrary, its interior consists of many requisite and comfort features as well like chrome trimmed centre console, rear view camera, sport leather steering wheel having audio control, auto start/stop function, HiFi loudspeaker system, iDrive with 16.5 cm display screen and the controller in the central console which gives the complete control over many functions like entertainment, information and communication.
Many small but required things for comfort like coat hanger, BMW dog safety harness , rear storage bag, all-weather floor mats are also available in this luxury sedan 3-series GT.

As per its safety is concerned, BMW ensures that this car would give complete safety along with better performance and road handling. It is armed with many safety devices which include Antilock braking system (ABS), dynamic stability control (DSC), cornering brake control (CBC), dynamic traction control (DTC), intelligent airbag system and many more.
