Exteriors & Interiors

The i3 flaunts a glossy black kidney grille that has a flurry of LED elements, be it the U-shaped LED headlamps or the LED turn indicators. The best part is that the car gets 20-inch light alloy wheels and a glass B-pillar. The car gets some quirky bits at the rear like those of the large diffuser shaped bumper and glass enclosed LED taillights.

Talking of the exteriors, the i3s is packaged well. It gets a sporty contoured steering wheel, 5.7-inch TFT colour instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with iDrive connected and Apple CarPlay. The seats of the BMW car are made out of recycled plastic and plant-based fibres.

The high-performance electric motor in the i3S makes 184PS of power and 270Nm of torque that is 14PS and 20Nm more than the standard electric motor in the i3. It can manage 0-100kmph sprint in 6.9 seconds while the top speed is limited to 160kmph.

The BMW i3S comes packed with dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, reversing camera, parking assistant and an Active cruise control.

It is said to compete against Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and the Hyundai Ionic and we expect the car to come soon to India.
