New BMW 7 Series

BMW has announced the launch of its most luxurious sedan the next generation 7-series in India at a sticker price Rs. 1.1 Crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The event was graced with the presence of Legendary Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who is also the brand ambassador of the BMW. The flagship sedan will be manufactured at company’s Chennai plant and will throw some serious competition to Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S class.

Price:

The lavish model comes in range of variants and below are their Ex-showroom prices:-

  • BMW 730Ld Design Pure Excellence- Rs. 1.11 Crore
  • BMW 730Ld M Sport- Rs. 1.19 Crore
  • BMW 730Ld Design Pure Excellence-Rs. 1.40 Crore
  • BMW 750Li Design Pure Excellence -Rs. 1.50 Crore
  • BMW 750Li M Sport- Rs. 1.55 Crore

Engine Details:

The BMW 7-series will be available in both Petrol and diesel engine options. The former is powered by 8-cylinder 4.4l mill which delivers max output of 450bhp and 650Nm of peak torque, it can accelerate 0-100 km in just 4.7 seconds. The diesel variants are fueled by B57 3.0l Twin tower turbo engine that churns out 265bhp power and 620Nm of high torque between 2000-2500rpm. The engine propels the car to achieve 100km mark from a standstill in 6.2 seconds with the top speed of 250km/hr. Both the engines are matched to an eight speed automatic gearbox.

Exterior and Interior:

The all new 7 series flaunts an active kidney shaped grille with air flap controls, unique pattern LED headlamps with optional laser light technology. Side profile is beautified by 18-21 inches black spoke stylish alloy wheels while rear is graced by L shaped LED tail lamps set up inspired by BMW 3 series.

The sedan is stuffed with features like sky lounge panoramic glass sunroof, front seats with heating function and arm rests, rear seats with massage function, four zone climate control, 7 inch iDrive touchscreen infotainment system with touch sensitive and gesture controls. The dashboard features aluminium accents, opulent wooden trim while for seats you get Dakota and Nappa leather upholstery options.

The Saloon is available with a Lounge package which will be stuffed by Wilkins diamond surround sound system, ambient air package with eight options, adjustable rear screen, fold out tablet,

Safety:

Restyled and refined BMW 7 series bears safety aids such as cross traffic alert, airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), active cruise control, remote control parking, driving assistant plus, steering & lane assistant, cross traffic warning, active side collision protection, lane departure warning, etc.
