It has been more than half a decade since the advent of A6 and A7 but the carmaker isn’t geared up to replace them with new models instead coming up with mild updates in order to keep fresher with the competitors. Though, last year A6 received a comprehensive facelift but Audi still feels that there is room for improvement, so they have given mild updates to A6 and A7.
The update includes changes to the exterior, more equipments and optional S-line package. The aesthetic updates include revised radiator grille with chrome highlights and matte black touch, revamped air dams with new front apron, bold contours. The side sills and rear bumper are shaper now and new rear diffuser adds more character to the design. Audi is also offering two new wheels designs for A6 and three for A7.
Both the cars will get three new paint schemes- Gotland green, Java brown and Matador red. The carmaker has outfitted both the models with ambient LED lighting inside, new cabin finished in fine grain birch natural agate gray and aluminium ellipse silver while the A6 allroad model gets aluminum ellipse bronze inlay option.
Other new features on-board are new soho brown paint finish, Audi tablets in the rear, MMI monitor with Apple car play and Android auto compatibility, sports seats with premium Valcona leather, inductive wireless charging compatible with Qi standard, Quattro all wheel drive system and 20 inch alloy wheels.
Despite of these changes and additions, prices remain unchanged and both the models will be available for sale at earliest. The Audi A6 competes with Jaguar XF, BMW 5-series and Mercedes-Benz E-class while A7 is not available for the Indian market.
