Maruti will launch the all-new Ertiga MPV later this year, the new Ertiga will be based on the Swift and Dzire’s platform. The Ertiga is expected to launch in two forms – a regular MPV and a more butch crossover MPV. Ertiga will also have bigger dimensions, new features, better safety and new engine options as well.
Interior & Exterior
Both MPVs will have a 7 seat layout, and the key changes will only be in terms of styling. The new Ertiga will use a monocoque body, and will be front wheel driven. In terms of interiors, it will include all-new cabins with a touchscreen infotainment system, the system will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth connectivity. From inside, the facelift it will feature all-beige bright interior theme and the changes in design will be limited to the use of better materials for the seats and door panels. It is also expected to offer air conditioning vents for the second and third rows as well. In terms of exterior, other features that are expected include headlamps with projector lens and LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
Engine Details
The all-new Ertiga is expected to come with new turbo-diesel engine that Suzuki has developed for future Maruti cars and SUVs. It will offer 1.4-litre petrol engine that will produce about 93bhp of power with five-speed manual and AMT options. There will be a CNG option also on this engine, with manual transmission only. It will offer 1.3-litre diesel engine which will produce about 90bhp of power with five-speed manual and AMT variants as well.
Safety
In terms of safety, Maruti Ertiga comes with single airbag and ABS as a standard feature. The higher variants get dual airbags. The ABS has an EBD and sturdier seat belts also.
Color
The all new Ertiga will come with 6 color options: Radiant Beige, Serene Blue, Silky Silver, Pearl Blue Blaze, Granite Grey and Superior White.
Price
The Ertiga is expected to be launched in the price bracket of INR 7 lakh to INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
Expected Launch
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to go on sale in India soon, and the automaker will give a glimpse of the new model at the 2018 Auto Expo.
