Ford continues with the aggressive marketing strategy for the Indian market, after slashing the prices of its best selling model EcoSport, Ford has now announced a price cut for Figo hatch and Figo Aspire sedan. Last month sales of both models showed a dip up to 50 percent, Ford has reacted quickly by cutting down the prices. In July 2016 both struggled for volumes, Ford sold 748 units of Aspire and 710 units of Figo hatchback.
The ford Figo gets cheaper by up to 50,000 while its sedan sibling Aspire gets the price down by up to Rs. 91,000. This isn’t the first time Ford has cut down the prices of its model, earlier this year when Vitara Brezza was launched; Ford had slashed the prices of EcoSport by 1.2 lakh to keep in check with competition.
Starting with Figo hatchback first, Ford hasn’t give the price cut to base, ambient and trend trims which means prices of only Titanium and Titanium+ variants has been revised. The top spec Titanium petrol is now priced at Rs. 6.28 lakh while the titanium is now available for Rs. 5.65 lakh cheaper by Rs. 29,000.
Ford Figo Aspire receives a price cut Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ variants while the AT trims left untouched. The Aspire trend now cost at Rs. 5.76 lakh whereas trend diesel is available for Rs. 6.85 lakh with prices slashed by Rs. 25,000. The Titanium gets the maximum price revision of Rs. 91,000 thus now available at Rs. 5.95 lakh for the petrol and 7.08 lakh for the diesel.
