Mercedes-Benz has launched three new cars today for the first time since its inception which includes two coupe versions of S class and G63 AMG crazy color limited edition. Mercedes continues to further strengthen its attack on Audi and BMW as they initiate the launching spree mayhem on them. Besides S500 coupe and S63 AMG, the company has also introduced G63 AMG Crazy edition.
The Crazy color edition is available in five exclusive graceful colors- Sunset beam, Alien green, solar beam, Galactic beam and Tomato Red. The new edition falls under Wagon category which initially marked its entry into India in 2011 with G55 AMG and G63 AMG in 2013. Now, Mercedes has updated the range with this edition which is priced at Rs. 2.17 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). There will be a limited number of this Crazy color edition allotted to India.
In terms of styling, it carries the almost similar design cues except the contrasting black obsidian black color finish bumpers, ORVMs, door handles, alloy wheels, wheel arches and roof top. The interior of this edition include black leather upholstery with contrasting stitching depending upon the exterior color, AMG steering wheel, AMG carbon fibre trim etc.
The cabin of G63 AMG Crazy color edition also features never seen before stitching on seats, gear knob, grab handles, dashboard, handbrake and beltlines.
Mechanically, it remains identical to standard G63 AMG which is powered by a 5.5l V8 petrol engine that delivers 544bhp of max power@5500rpm and a massive 760Nm of torque@2000rpm and comes mated to a 7-speed AMG Speed shift automatic transmission with manual shifting mode. The engine is capable to accelerate 0-100km mark in 5.4 seconds with the top speed of 210km/hr.
Mercedes G 63 AMG Crazy Color Edition measures 4,763mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,938mm in height. The vehicle is around 2.5 tons (2,550 kgs) heavy and offers a humongous boot capacity of 480 liters.
