Toyota Motors is pepping up for the launch of facelifted Camry sedan in India on April 30, 2015. The updated Camry sedan was recently spotted completely undisguised in Indian soil with different and new color shades. The 2015 Camry was first showcased at the 2014 Moscow motor show and recently Toyota launched Camry hybrid in Indonesian market.
The 2015 Camry gets styling changes both outside and inside based on Toyota’s new design language. Front Side of new Camry has been restyled aggressively with new constricted chrome grille, new sleek head lamps and daytime running lights. The front bumper is now more hostile with large chrome surrounded air dam and circular fog lamps.
Side of the new Camry gets new 17 inch alloy wheels, chrome on ORVMs and door handles while the rear side gets reworked rear bumper, chrome on thinner boot lid, reflectors gets new space below the redesigned bumpers and new tail lights gets LED inserts.
Inside, new Camry will get new instrument cluster with 4.2”multi function display, a three spoke multi function sporty steering wheel, leather plush seats, upgraded infotainment system with 6.1 inch touchscreen display, three zone climate control, Dynamic radar cruise control and wood finish at the centre console.
The completely updated new Camry will not get any changes under the hood and expected to use the 2.5L petrol and Hybrid engines from the current model. The petrol variant produces 179bhp power and 233Nm of peak torque while the Hybrid version churns out the maximum output of 202bhp.
The 2.5L petrol version comes paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the Hybrid power train would be paired to e-CVT transmission.
Speaking about the price, 2015 Camry will be priced around Rs. 1 lakh higher than the current model which is now available at the discount of 1.5-2 lakh depending upon the availability. Both the variants are locally assembled at Toyota’s Bidadi facility, Karnataka. New Toyota Camry will compete with premium sedans like Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb.
