It’s time welcome the refreshed Duster, Yes Renault has updated Duster with more safety features, equipments inside the cabin and it is available at an introductory price of Rs. 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Power trains are same but fuel efficiency has been improved slightly.
So what’s new in 2015 Renault Duster as compared to the old one? Let’s have a look.
Renault India has updated 2015 FWD Duster comes with some nice equipments and touches such as new steering column, gear shift indicator, sporty instrument cluster with multi information display, cruise control to reduce driving fatigue, speed limiter, new and updated fabric upholstery for the seats, soft touch dashboard, ECO mode feature at the instrument cluster, speed sensitive auto lock.
Other noticeable features that new Duster carries rapid deceleration warning, steering mounted controls, Media-NAV navigation at central console, one touch turn indicator, 8-way lumbar support for driver seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear A/c vents, distance to empty warning and real time fuel efficiency display gauge.
2015 Duster now gets updated electrical and electronic architecture and introduced a new platform christened as ‘CMO10’.
Renault India has not only update Duster with cabin features but also looks after the safety aspect of the SUV and it is equipped with all the basic and regular safety features such as dual front airbags, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), ASR, Electronic brake distribution (EBD), brake assist, rear defogger, rear wiper and washer with timer.
2015 Duster remains mechanically unaltered continue to be offered in same set of engines. The petrol variant is powered by 1.6L K4M engine with the maximum output of 103bhp@5750rpm and peak torque of 148Nm@3750rpm paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and delivers fuel efficiency of 13.05 KMPL.
The diesel engines of 2015 Duster are tuned for better fuel efficiency and continue to get power from famous 1.5L K9K motor with two states of tune- 85PS and 110PS. The USP about this engine is that it now offers better fuel efficiency 19.64KMPL for 85PS and 19.87 KMPL for 105PS motor. According to Renault fuel efficiency can be further enhance by 10 percent by driving on ECO mode.
