The rejuvenated Volkswagen’s luxurious car Jetta which made its officail debut at the recent 2014 new York Auto show is now spotted testing on Indian soil i.e. on Mumbai-Pune highway without any camouflage. According to the spied images Jetta facelift will have some exterior, interior and safety changes.
The German Giant Volkswagen had introduced Jetta in 2008 and Since then it has been successful car for the company, another version came in 2011 and currently its in seventh generation now, to carry on the same trend VW is planning to launch another version of Jetta in 2015.
Refreshed stunning Jetta will have number of changes like:
Exterior-
- Bi-Xenon headlights with Projector headlamps
- LED daytime running lights
- Redesigned front bumper with larger air dam
- New fog lamps
- New rear with Bootlid
- Refresh tail lamps with LEDs like Audi A4
- New alloy wheel pattern
Interiors-
- Advanced touchscreen infotainment system with navigation
- Flat bottom steering wheel
- Updated upholstery
- Revised instrument cluster with new gauges
- Piano black finish
- Chrome edges
Apart from the above mentioned changes Interiors will have some minor tweaks which will distinguish it from ongoing Jetta.
Mechanically Jetta will continue to get power from 1.4L TSI petrol and 2.0L Tdi diesel engines as the current model. But Volkswagen might introduce engines based on PQ35 platform with higher power and Torque as they did in International markets. Volkswagen new Jetta will hit on Indian roads in 2015.
Current Jetta is priced at 13.21 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) but with excise duty being lifted off new Jetta will be priced slight higher than the current model.
