The 2018 Renault Duster has been finally revealed and it still uses the same B0 platform. The all new Duster will make its global debut in 2017 Frankfurt Motor show and will be launched in India next year. However, denying all the rumours and speculations, new Duster still is a 5-seater SUV. The Duster comes with some extensive cosmetic as well as structural changes; it will also come in Atacama Orange Color.
On the front, new grille connects three barrel projector headlights that are placed at extreme corners making new Duster wider. The headlights also feature C shaped LED Daytime running lights along with chrome skid plate, horizontal bonnet with creases. Sides flaunt higher belt line, new 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked wing arch and aluminium roof bars. In addition, raked front windscreen now moved forward by 100mm to improve cabin space.
At the rear, new duster sports squared off LED tail lights; new horizontal lines and satin chrome finish rear skid plate. At tape, new Duster will remain identical so u will get the same impressive 210mm ground clearance.
Brazil will likely continue to feature 1.6 and 2.0 flex fuel engines. For India, 2018 Duster would likely to come with the same range of engines i.e. 1.5l diesel motor that makes 85PS/200Nm and 110PS/245Nm, linked to a 5-speed/6-speed and 6-speed AMT gearbox. The petrol department has a 1.5l petrol motor that makes 106PS power and 142Nm of torque and can be had in either 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
It will be interesting to see when Renault launches new Duster in India as the French carmaker is all set to launch Captur soon.
