Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched 2017 iteration of its flagship sedan Sunny in India at a starting price of Rs. 7.91 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The new version comes with minor exterior and interior updates but offered with same price range of the outgoing model. It was first launched in 2014 and currently one of famous models of Nissan alongside Micra though it not able to set sales charts on fire.
So what’s different? Starting with the front fascia which get revised front grille, larger headlamps, chrome garnish on door handles. 2017 Sunny gets a ‘Sandstone Brown’ exterior colour in addition to the current range of colors- Pearl White, Bronze Grey, Blade Silver, Deep Grey and Night Shade.
Interior sports optional all black finish, dual tone black grey fabric seats, black plastic panels etc. Other features include piano black central console, steering wheel with audio controls, reading lights for rear passengers, intelligent key, push start button, music system with sharing reverse camera, etc. For safety, the sedan comes with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags and brake assist (BA) in all the variants.
Nissan facelift continues to hide the same 1.5l Petrol and 1.5l diesel engine linked to a 5-speed manual as standard while petrol also gets a 5-speed CVT. The diesel returns an ARAI claimed mileage of 22.71 Kmpl. In addition, Nissan is also offering 2- year/50,000 km warranty & free Road Side Assistance with Sunny.
