Nissan has launched updated version of Micra hatch in India with new features and priced from Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new model comes with new addition inside the cabin across two petrol and diesel variants. No alteration has been done under the hood as it continues to be fuelled by the same petrol and diesel engines. It is also the only hatchback from Nissan on sale in India.
In terms of changes, 2017 Micra gets auto headlamps with follow me function and rain sensing wipers while cabin sports orange accents on dashboard, armrest and seats. In addition, Micra features a black theme with piano black finish and a 2 DIN audio system with bluetooth. Besides, Nissan Micra comes with driver side airbag as standard across the range.
The hatchback continues to offer 1.2l 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 77PS power and 104Nm of torque while the 1.5l diesel engine is good for 64PS of max output and 160Nm of torque. The former is clubbed to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) while diesel can be had in a 5-speed manual gearbox. The hatch is rated to deliver ARAI rated mileage of 23.08 Kmpl for diesel and 19.34 Kmpl for CVT variant. The car will take on the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
