Hyundai Motors India has launched 2017 Elite i20 hatchback in the country. Starting at Rs. 5.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it now comes with new features and dual tone colour options to make it more compelling buy. The premium hatchback now comes with first in segment six airbags including dual front, side and curtain airbags. Elite i20 was launched in 2014 and since then it has more than 3 lakh happy customers and bagged many awards including ICOTY.

The dual tone colour shade is available in Polar white and Passion red with contrast black roof treatment. Besides, Hyundai has also introduced new Marine blue colour. The two-tone colour treatment continues inside as well with all black interiors and contrast orange accents. Another major highlight is the inclusion of a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system supporting Android auto, Apple car play and mirror link app. The big screen doubles up with rear view camera display assistance.

The Hyundai also revised feature list on the new Elite i20, Asta trim now misses out on auto up-down function for the driver’s seat, push start button, dual colour alloy wheels, and rear wiper and washer. The Sportz trim now misses out on auto climate control, reverse parking camera and telescopic function for the steering. The Magna executive trim will also trimmed off some features such as rear parcel tray, Bluetooth connectivity for the audio, steering mounted control and keyless entry.

Under the bonnet of new Elite i20 is the same set of powertrains: 1.2l Dual VTVT petrol, 1.4l dual VTVT petrol and a 1.4l U2 CRDi diesel engine. The 1.2l VTVT petrol develops 82bhp power and 115Nm of torque while 1.4l VTVT petrol makes 99bhp power and 132Nm of high torque. The 1.4l oil burner is good for 89bhp power and 200Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual for petrol, a 6-speed manual for diesel and a 4-speed automatic with the 1.4l petrol variant.
