Audi, the German automaker is all set to launch 2017 A3 sedan in India on 6th April 2017 making it the third product out of the ten new products for 2017. Earlier, Audi has launched new A4 diesel and facelifted A3 cabriolet. Audi’s entry-level model is one of the bestselling models in India and 2017 model features the range of cosmetic updates, additional features and a new petrol motor.
For starters, new Audi A3 comes with new angular front grille for a bolder look, A4 inspired new bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. Buyers can also go for the optional Matrix LED headlights. Side profile remains identical to the current model except for the new multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear would feature the most prominent changes like a revised bumper, new LED taillights along with new paint schemes.
On the inside, the new model gets 12.3 inch HD screen replacing the traditional instrument cluster, Audi’s virtual cockpit, a secondary screen of 7-inch screen for MMI interface, automatic climate control, the plethora of leather upholstery options, satellite navigation, reverse parking camera and much more. Audi A3 facelift might also feature Android auto and Apple car play.
Under the hood is a 2.0-litre diesel unit that makes 140bhp power and 320Nm of torque, linked to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Audi has replaced the older 1.8l unit with new 1.4l TFSI petrol which is tuned to deliver 148bhp of power and 250Nm of high torque. This engine will utilise the seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Talking about the prices, the 2017 Audi A3 facelift is expected to fall in the range Rs. 28 to 35 lakh (ex-showroom).
