When launched in 2011, the Range Rover Evoque has turned Land Rover’s fortunes on its head at global level and in India. The ongoing Range rover Evoque has been the bestselling model for the Land Rover globally. In India, the sales of Evoque have significantly increased thanks to commencement of CKD operations by Land Rover which saw price drop of around 20 percent.

Now, the company is pepping up for the launch of 2016 Range Rover Evoque which is slated to be launched on 19th November 2015. The bookings for the facelift Evoque had been opened last month. The luxury compact SUV will feature a range of aesthetic updates on the outside and revamped interiors for the new model.

On the outside, the luxury SUV features styling tweaks such as aggressive headlamps with LED daytime running lights and integrated turn indicators, two design option for the front new grille. The bumper has been revised now house large air intakes while the side has three new designs that buyer can choose from. The tail lamps have been tweaked with different pattern and there is also high LED stop lamp at rear to lend sportiness to the exterior profile.

Interior alterations include a door sleeves, new seats, fabrics, in control touch, new TFT screen and a rear seat entertainment package. In addition, it will also get a standard 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 17 speakers 825W Meridian Surround audio system, surround camera system. The new Evoque will also feature cruise control, rain sensing wipers, hands free tailgate function, three color options of red, white and tan that will compliment the premiumness of the luxurious SUV.

2016 Range Rover Evoque will be benefited from eight airbags, All Terrain progress control (ATPC) which was seen on Range rover models along with Standard safety aids like dynamic stability control (DSC), drowsy driver warning, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, reverse parking detention and many more.

For the current model, power comes from a 2.2 litre SD4 diesel engine that generates 187bhp of max power and peak torque of 420Nm. Power is sent to all wheels via a nine speed ZF automatic gearbox. The 2016 model will be aided by all terrain progress control technology and all wheel drive terrain.

The facelift is likely to be manufactured locally via CKD route at company’s Pune plant, so expect it to be priced in the range of Rs. 55-60 lakh (ex-showroom).
