Toyota in order to cash in the ongoing festive season is coming up with Etios sedan and Etios hatchback facelifts soon. Toyota has not tasted much success in sedan and hatchback segment, both the cars are not so successful. They cannot able to match the quality, reliability and class of Maruti, Hyundai and Honda. Toyota Etios and Liva have been spotted testing many times and according to sources both the cars will make their presence on domestic circuit on 15th October i.e. tomorrow. Toyota is planning a pre-Diwali launch in order to boost their sales.

Let’s start with the price of both the cars, Toyota Etios sedan will cost you between Rs. 5.4-8.25 lakh and Etios LIVA hatchback will come between the price bracket of Rs. 4.5-7 lakh, all the prices are Ex showroom Delhi.

There will be no change in engine specifications of both these cars, Etios sedan will come with same 1.5L petrol engine which is able to produce 89BHP power and 132Nm torque and 1.4L Diesel engine with 67BHP power and 170Nm torque.

While Etios Liva also continues to get power from 1.2L petrol which produces 79BHP power and 1.4L diesel with 67BHP power. All the engines of LIVA and Etios sedan are mated to 5 speed manual transmission.

What’s New in Toyota Etios & Etios Liva?

  • Chrome finished grille for Etios Sedan and redesigned front grille for Liva but not a chromic one
  • Body colored electrically adjustable wing mirrors with turn indicators
  • Redesigned alloy wheels
  • Brown beige dashboard with faux wood inserts
  • New upholstery for seats and door armrests
  • Driver side airbags as Standard
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Leather strapped steering wheel
  • New Color scheme ( Pearl White)

Apart from these changes front, Side and rear part of the Etios and Liva will not receive any major changes. Toyota Etios will compete with Chevrolet sail and Nissan sunny while Etios Liva will take on Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
