After celebrating the success of Duster’s few-months-back launched Adventure Edition, Renault has now taken one step ahead in this process by launching the Travelogue Edition of its other model Scala. Basically it’s a re-launch as company already had brought this Travelogue Edition in April 2013 but only with diesel trim in RxZ variant. But this time company has increased this limitation and now this newly re-launched edition is marking its presence in Scala’s RxZ and RxL variants and also having both petrol and diesel fuel this time. Further, Renault also introduced a CVT gearbox with this edition.

Price:

This newly re-launched Travelogue Edition is available with the basic price tag of 8.48 lakhs which further goes up to 10.51 lakhs.

Engine details:

As mentioned above, now this edition is also available with petrol unit along with the diesel one, no other mechanical changes have been done in this though. These diesel n petrol units are same as the Scala’s ongoing variants.

While the petrol model gets 1.5 liter engine good to develop the max power of 99.6bhp and 134Nm of peak torque, the diesel one is also of 1.5 liter churns out the max power n torque of 84.8bhp and 200Nm respectively. Further, petrol model is mated to a 5-speed manual along with a CVT auto transmission gearbox while on the other side its diesel unit is only geared up with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Space & Dimension:

Dimensions are similar like the ongoing model which is 4425 x 1695 x 1505 mm along with the wheelbase of 2600mm, ground clearance of 161mm, boot space of 490 liters and fuel tank capacity of 41 liters.

Interior & Exterior:

At inside cabin, Travelogue Edition is sharing the entire feature range of ongoing Scala along with some newly added features as well including an integrated navigation system, illuminated scuff plates and a rear sun shade.

If compares to the regular ongoing Scala then the only change in this new Travelogue Edition is the yellow contrast belt at exterior profile which is running from the headlamps to the rear.

Final Verdict:

Renault had launched this edition a year ago to boost the sales of its sedan in Indian car market but failed. Now, when Duster’s recently launched adventure edition is doing well on the terms of sale, Renault has taken the risk again, it would be interesting to see whether Scala will give appropriate sales figures to its company or not.

To attract the customers, Renault has also offered few schemes along with this new launch. These are:

  1. Attractive EMI of Rs.7999*
  2. Complimentary Gift Cheque of first 5 EMIs**
  3. Additional 2 Years Warranty
