Mercedes-Benz has been on launching spree this year, introducing a slew of products. Having launched nine new products out of 15 that are schedule to arrive in 2015, the German car maker has launched its tenth vehicle in the form of S63 AMG performance sedan. The vehicle is priced at Rs. 2.53 Crore (ex-showroom Bangalore) and will be available in limited numbers. Just to remind you on 30th July 2015, the company introduced G63 AMG Crazy color edition, S500 coupe and S63 coupe in the country.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG sedan is the ninth AMG product to be launched in India and will be brought via a CBU (completely build unit) route. The performance sedan will rival against BMW 760Li, Bentley flying and Continental Flying Spur in India.

The S-class based S63 AMG comes with revised bumpers that house large air intakes, LED high performance headlamps, 20-inch AMG 10 spoke titanium alloy wheels, V8 badge on front fenders, side skirts, AMG sports exhaust with black diffuser and black roof to give it more aggressive styling and to distinguish it from standard S-class. The new model weighs 100kg less than its predecessor due to the use of aluminum on the roof and the front fascia.

The cabin of S63 AMG is as sporty and eye-soothing as exterior, it feature AMG sporty seats for front passengers with memory function done in Nappa leather upholstery, aluminum gearshift paddles, three spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, vibrant instrument console with twin LCD displays ambient lighting and AMG badging etc. All black cabin with aluminum accents enhances the sporty character of the car.

It doesn’t lose out on comfort features as it comes with climate control front seats and rear powered seats with magic body control. A Burmester 3D sound audio system as standard and optional 24 speaker audio system, head up display, massaging function for front seats, command online, analogue clock, a chauffeur package are some other notable features.

Much like the recently launched cars, Mercedes has also equipped S63 with “Designo” package which provide customers various customization options to choose from including interior upholstery, exterior colors along with deign trim elements.

In terms of safety, Mercedes has equipped it with eight airbags, collision prevention assist, attention assist, tyre pressure loss warning system, night view assist plus and magic control suspension system which adjusts suspension according to road condition.

Coming to the business end of the S63 AMG, the superstar car is powered by a 5.5 B-turbo V8 engine rated to deliver peak power of 577bhp@5500rpm and 900Nm of torque between 2250-3750rpm. The company claims that the S63 AMG can hit 100km mark in just 4.4 seconds while offering the top speed of 250km/hr aided by a 7-speed AMG sports transmission. Being an AMG model, it comes with 4MATIC all wheel drive system as standard.
