Maruti Suzuki Swift ‘Glory special edition’ launched; gets feature upgrade

As the festive season ticks in various manufactures offer discounts, alluring schemes to woo the customers. To keep the tradition alive, Maruti Suzuki has introduced yet another limited edition christened as Swift Glory limited sports edition for the Indian market. What better way to adore achievements with a special edition of its bestselling car. Every year witness a number of limited editions by various car manufactures which only not help them to cash in the festive season but also adds some freshness to the existing vehicles.

The Glory limited edition comes with host of cosmetic and features upgrades and available on Vxi and VDi variants. The Swift Glory edition carries the conventional styling upgrades for which Maruti is famous for, however this edition looks the sportiest of all.

The Swift glory edition fitted with two tone white-red contrast color treatment along with racing strips on bonnet, side and rear. The red metallic treatment has been also provided to ORVMs, side skirts, rear roof spoiler, front and rear bumpers to up the sporty element of the car. To further give the contrasting touch to the limited edition, the C-pillars are finished in matte black color.

Inside the cabin, the blend of red and black upholstery along with similar treatment for steering wheel and gear knob to the match the exterior profile. In terms of features, it is equipped with reverse parking sensors; bluetooth enabled audio system that also supports SIRI and Android. The limited edition floor mats and reverse parking camera completes the package.

As the limited edition is available on V trim, it misses out on certain features like airbags, start/stop button, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, rear washer and alloy wheels while it gets ABS with EBD and Brake assist as standard but only on VDi variant.

The Glory edition remains identical on mechanical front as it continues with 1.2l K series petrol engine developing max power of 83.1bhp and torque of 115Nm along with tried and tested 1.3l DDis diesel engine which is good for 74bhp power and 190Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol delivers 20.4 Kmpl whereas the diesel claims an ARAI certified mileage of 25.2 Kmpl. Prices of the limited edition is yet to be disclosed.

The limited edition is priced 11,500 more than the standard V trim and here is the Ex- showroom New Delhi prices of Maruti Suzuki Swift Glory edition:

  • Maruti Swift Glory Edition VDi – Rs.6,19,823

Apart from introducing the limited editions, the Maruti Suzuki will be launching Ertiga MPV facelift on 10th October 2015 and the Baleno premium hatchback on 26th October 2015 in India.
