Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the premium Crossover S-Cross at a media drive program and revealed all technical specifications and features offered in each variant. The design and dimensions are same as expected but the big twist came in the form of engines. During the media event only two diesel engines were listed there, surprisingly S-Cross would not come in petrol engine. Also, all grip AWD and automatic will not be the part of S-Cross at least the time of launch.

The Maruti Suzuki S-cross will get 1.3L DDis diesel engine that makes 89bhp power and 200Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This power train will be badged as DDis 200 and will come in five variants- Sigma, Sigma (O), Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

The S-Cross is the first Maruti car to boast a 4-cylinder 1.6L DDis diesel engine which is good enough to produce 118bhp power and peak torque of 320Nm. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and will be available in three variants- Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

Coming to the fuel efficiency, DDis 200 returns 23.65 KMPL of mileage while DDis 320 has an ARAI certified mileage of 22.7 KMPL.

The premium Crossover S-cross is 4300mm long, 1765mm wide and 1580mm tall, it has a wheelbase of 2600mm. The 180mm of ground clearance is below the competition and boot space of 353 liters too isn’t big enough as compared to the competitors.
