It has no doubt that Maruti Suzuki’s Ritz hatchback has hidden somewhere in the crowd of hatchbacks in India. But still, it has its own group of admirers and to surprise them and also to attract new customers, Maruti Suzuki has redesigned its Ritz model by giving it few cosmetic changes at exterior as well as interior. This limited edition of Ritz is named as Ritz Elate.
Maruti Suzuki has not disclosed its price publicly; one can get that only by going to its showrooms. It is expected to get around Rs. 20000 more than the regular Ritz.
There are no mechanical changes, it will continue with the same 1.2 liter of petrol engine and 1.3 liter of diesel engine developing the max output of 85.8bhp and 73.9bhp respectively. It’s both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while a 4-speed automatic also available as an option in both petrol and diesel models.
Interior & Exterior:
At inside cabin, the Ritz Elate receives interior accessories like neck support, attractive steering wheel cover, ambient lighting, powerful speakers etc. There will be 2D music system along with USB, CD, Aux and speakers. Further, the limited edition of this hatch is designed with new seat covers having dash of orange color, reverse parking sensors with digital display & sound alert, bluetooth kit, floor mats, multipurpose bag at inside to hold the keys, wallet etc.
As far as its exterior profile is concerned, company has given it body graphics to make it more attractive n different than regular Ritz along with door visors and mud flaps etc.
Ritz, since its launch, has given decent sales figures to its company but still not as much decent as Maruti’s other models. This updation is clearly a try by Maruti to get more customers so that Ritz’s sale figures can hike. Now, it would be interesting to see whether Indian customers will prefer this limited edition Ritz over other same segment models or not.
