Hyundai Eon is one of the most stylish cars in entry level hatch segment and now as competition is being increased day-by-day, company is ready to bring its modern and refreshed version soon. Reportedly, Hyundai is likely to equip its small hatch Eon facelift with a bigger and powerful engine than the one available in ongoing Eon.
If this report of new n bigger engine availability is true then Eon might also face slightly price hike than the ongoing version. The current Eon comes with in price range of around 2.83-3.85 lakhs.
The ongoing Eon is powered by a 814cc, 0.8 liter MPi petrol engine developing the max power of 55.2bhp and peak torque of 74.5Nm mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. As mentioned above, the facelift Eon is expected to carry a powerful engine of 1.0 liter, 3-cylinder Kappa engine which is currently used in Europe based Hyundai i10. This engine is likely to churn out the max output and torque of 65bhp and 95Nm respectively. Hyundai might tune down these engine powers for Eon though, to make it more fuel efficient.
Interior & Exterior:
As Eon already is a stylish model so we don’t expect company to bring any change in its outside glimpse. But as it will be a facelift model then some renovations and modifications are surely going to be make their presence. The exact details about this features updations could only be revealed by the launch though.
Main Rivals in India:
Maruti Alto K-10, Datsun GO etc
The Eon is the cheapest car by Hyundai India but still it somehow couldn’t meet with its sales target and lacks down than its main rivals in country. And on the other side, company’s other hatch i10 which is costly than Eon doing well on the grounds of sales. Though, Eon is a small cute model with affordable price range and now when company is said to design it with powerful engine, it might raise as a good choice for the customers.
