Hyundai EON in a new avatar spied testing on roads of Korea near the headquarters of Hyundai with partial camouflaged which is likely to go on sale in 2015. Hyundai Eon was launched in October 2011 which means it is not too old car but Hyundai has different plans to remain fresh in the minds and hearts of customers. The only major change that has been made to EON was the inclusion of 1.0L kappa II petrol engine. Since its launch it is fierce competitor to Maruti’s stable car Alto 800 and Alto k10.

Going by the spy shot images which suggest that major changes will be made to the front and rear side of Eon like it will modified bumper, new headlamps and grille plus rear side will get redesigned tail lights and tweaked bumper. Whole design of new EON is based on Hyundai’s fluidic 2.0 sculpture like Elite i20.

Expect new EON to be completely differently designed like Grand i10 and recently launched Elite i20 with minor changes and add-ons in the interiors like dual tone dashboard, seats, new infotainment system etc.

New Eon to get same power trains 0.8 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 55bhp power and 74.5Nm power while the top variants will get 1.0 litre unit that emits healthy 68bhp power and 94Nm torque, both engines are paired to a 5 speed manual transmission. More value will be added if EON comes with an automatic gearbox. Price too would remain same which is currently at 3.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

In the current scenario Hyundai EON is way to behind against Alto series in terms of sales graph so Hyundai have to come up with exceptional package in order to outdo or to come close to Alto especially when K10 comes with an AMT gearbox.

Apart from EON Hyundai is concentrating right now Elite i20 based crossover which is spied testing on roads many times now and Hyundai Verna facelift which looks brilliantly designed car. Hyundai is also likely to launch ix25 compact SUV with 1.6L petrol and diesel units.
