The much awaited compact SUV from Hyundai, Creta which is scheduled to be launched on 21st July 2015 can be now be booked at all company’s dealerships across the country. One can book Creta for Rs. 40,000-50,000 depending on the variant you are booking and your location. The Creta is Hyundai’s first product in compact SUV segment and will face the heat from cars like Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport.
The Hyundai Creta is a global product and shares exterior elements with Santa Fe and feature list with Elite i20. After being spotted many times with camouflage, Creta has been spotted on the roads undisguised for the first time and reveals the Indian spec design completely.
On the outside, Creta flaunts three slat hexagonal chrome grille, Projector headlamps with silver accents and quadrilateral fog lamps. Side gets body cladding, ORVMs with turn blinkers, new alloy wheel design, silver window visors while the rear profile has wraparound LED taillights, chrome strip above the number plate, roof mounted spoiler, silver roof rails and integrated rear reflectors. Both front and rear bumpers get faux skid plates.
On the inside, Creta is expected to get Dual tone dashboard with silver accents and optional all black interiors, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, three spoke steering wheel with audio controls and many more.
The Baby Santa Fe measures over 4 metre length with the dimensions of 4270mm long, 1780mm in width, 1622mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2590mm. With such dimensions, expect spacious cabin and best-in class space for the occupants.
The Creta will be powered by the same engines that also do duty on Verna sedan- 1.4L and 1.6L petrol and diesel engines. The SUV comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and will be offered with automatic transmission also. Initially, Hyundai will launch Creta in diesel power train followed by Petrol at a later stage and AWD won’t be offered at the time of launch.
Hyundai has achieved a localization level of 90% for Creta to price it competitively. The expected price of Creta starts around 8 lakh and should touch the 12 lakh barrier.
