Honda India has announced a new extended warranty program called ‘Any time warranty’ for its existing customers. A standard extended warranty can be taken at the time of purchase or sometime within two years from the date of purchase.

The USP of this ‘Any time warranty’ by Honda India is that it is transferable which means in case you sell your car that carries Honda’s anytime warranty or you buy one that is subscribed with the same scheme, so the warranty  does not become void as it is related with vehicle not the owner.

Honda’s anytime warranty can be purchased within one month of existing warranty period or anytime till it gets 7 years old. This new warranty scheme covers up repair and replacement costs including defective component at no charge to the customer for parts.

This warranty scheme is valid for current Honda models like Amaze, City, Mobilio, CR-V and Brio and discontinued cars like Accord, Civic and Jazz.

Essentials you need to purchase this new package:

  • Prescribed servicing at Honda Service centers
  • Service records of the vehicle

This scheme begins at 1 year/20,000 kms and goes up to 7 years/ 1 lakh kms and the cost of anytime warranty will be completely model base and plus service provider will cross check the above mentioned things and condition of the car.

This seems to be a great move by Japanese car manufacturer as it will help them improving and strengthening the ownership experience in the country and this new program will tempt buyers from other brands as well, so could  we expect same thing from brands like Maruti, Hyundai and Volkswagen etc?
