Indian car market is facing some tough times now-a-days, probably that’s the reason why companies are planning to increase the prices of their models in India. When many car makers have already announced the increment in price which is going to be effective from New Year, its Renault now who has done the same.
Well, we were expecting this news to come from Renault since the day when Nissan declared the same. And here it is, Renault is in this queue too by revealing the statement to increase the price from January 2014.
Though company has not disclosed the exact amount or percent of raised price yet but stated clearly that this price hike would be in budget and as per the company norms.
At present, company has a quite broad line-up of products in India which contains the most popular Duster, Fluence, Koleos, Pulse and Scala. The price range of these models varies between 4.48 lakhs and 23.99 lakhs.
“Due to unavoidable macro-economic factors such as increasing rates, input costs, Renault India will increase prices across its product range in January. We will provide more information on the price increase soon, although this will be as per industry standards”, said Mr. Sumit Sawhney- Executive Director Sales and Marketing.
Before this, Nissan, BMW, Audi, Honda and many other car makers have declared to increase the prices of their models from the New Year.
Also, Renault has already brought an exciting deal few days ago for its customers to attract them and obviously to clear the existing stock of Renault models. In this deal, one can grab two years of additional warranty, exciting exchange offers, three years insurance and road assistance (24×7); all could be availed by a customer on buying a Renault car.
