2017 Audi Q3 launched in India at Rs. 34.20 lakhs

Audi has silently launched the new Q3 at a starting price of Rs. 34.20 (ex-showroom Delhi) in India making it a third product launch in 2017 after new A3 Cabriolet and new A4 TDI. The Quattro AWD sets you back at Rs. 37.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new true blue Q3 SUV gets new engine option, some new features and tweaked exteriors.

Cosmetic changes include tweaked front bumpers with new air dams accompanied by a signature front grille, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof etc. Inside, it receives a new steering wheel with paddle shifters, electric adjustment for driver seat and dual-zone automatic climate control. The FWD sports new walnut brown inlays while Quattro AWD gets aluminium tangent inlays. Other features on board leather upholstery, touchscreen infotainment screen with Audi MMI navigation interface, cruise control etc.

As for the safety, new Q3 boasts six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill descent assist, electromechanical parking brake, electronic vehicle immobilization, hill start assist and reverse parking camera etc.

The 2017 Q3 is available only in diesel powertrain in two states of tunes. The 2.0l TDI FWD diesel engine makes 148bhp power and 340Nm of torque and can sprint 0-100km/hr in 9.3 seconds. The 2.0l Quattro variant belts out 182bhp of power (4 percent more than the outgoing variant) and 380Nm of torque, this engine claims to accelerate 0-100km/hr in 7.3 seconds. Both the engines are linked to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox.
