    As we know that the Toyota Rush has already made its debut in Malaysia. And now, this royal SUV is ready to hit the Indian market around by 2014.

    With a trend of Mid SUV started by Toyota Innova, followed by Mahindra XUV500, Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport, the SUV section has become popular among Indians.

    Toyota Rush– which has already settled internationally is fully prepared to enter in Indian market as a new competitor for other SUVs. It has lot of interior and exterior changes and so many new features which can surely give complex to other SUVs.

    Expected Variants and Specifications:

    It is expected to have three Variants

    1) Toyota Rush 1.5G MT (Petrol) 2) Toyota Rush 1.5G AT (Petrol) & 3) Toyota Rush 1.5S AT (Petrol)

    Price:

    Talking about price, the Rush launched in Malaysia with the price range of RM88491 approx(i.e. around 17 lakhs) and now its tentative price in India is said to be around 8-11 lakhs (expected with fingers crossed).

    Engine Details:

    The brand Toyota has an individual place in heart of Indian car buyers. Its another SUV Innova is already in top most list of SUVs from many years, and now another one is also ready to make a boom!!! The bonus point of this new trendy SUV is that it has been succeed in Malaysia and obtained a great response.

    This Rush is equipped with 1495cc, DHOC engine having In-line 4-cylinder. This engine has been designed by using VVT-i technology which helps in providing a better fuel economy. This 1495cc DHOC engine offers max. power of 108bhp at 6000rpm and the peak torque of 141Nm at 4400rpm with 6-speed Manual gearbox. The minimum turning radius of Rush is 5.2m and fuel tank is of 50 litres. Along with these aggressive power and torque, it offers an impressive mileage of 14.8kmpl. This SUV is available in three versions i.e. Rush 1.5G AT(Petrol), Rush 1.5G MT(Petrol) and Rush 1.5S AT(Petrol).

    Dimensions & Exteriors:

    Coming to its dimensions as well as outside look, does it look different than its previous sibling, Innova??? The answer is definitely a big YES. The Toyota has improved the exterior look in this new SUV. With the dimension and ground clearance of 4005mm*1695mm*1705mm, 200mm respectively, the Rush attracts many car buyers towards itself. The company has reduced the length as well as width of this new model in comparison to the previous one, which is a great achievement as buyers found Innova a little bit large on city roads. Still it has seven passengers capacity like Toyota’s previous SUV, and delivers its best for families. It is equipped with many impressive and classy features like multi-reflector headlamps as well as projector headlamps. The 1.5S AT version of this SUV is also armed with fog lamps.

    While wing mirror are available in all the three versions, the turn indicator makes its presence only in Rush 1.5S AT. This turn indicator supports in protecting from collision at the time of turning. A reverse sensor is also available in all the three versions.

    Interiors:

    Like outside, Toyota’s this version also looks very trendy from inside. It is embellished with comfortable seats covered with fabric. Coming to steering, while a 3-spoke leather steering wheel is available in the Rush 1.5S AT, the other two versions (1.5G AT and 1.5G MT) are dressed with a 3-spoke urethane steering. All the three versions of this brand new SUV have an audio control on steering wheel. The more features of this jaggy car are AC, gear knobs made by leather and chrome (in Rush 1.5S AT) and urenthane and chrome (in Rush 1.5G AT & 1.5G MT), CD/MP3 player engaged with a 2-Din tuner along with six speakers.

    Road handling:

    In any car, a proper road handling and safety is must. The Toyota has again done a fabulous job here by adding strong braking system in this SUV. All the three versions of Rush are equipped with disc brakes at front wheels and drum brakes at rear. In this classy SUV, one can enjoy a comfortable and safe ride with the help of these braking systems. Also the Anti-Lock Braking System(ABS) is armed in this with the EBD which enforces equitable break force distribution.

    Verdict:

    Overall, it seems that the Toyota Rush has all qualities of a satisfying SUV. Its reputed brand value, favourable mileage, trendy interiors as well as exteriors make it worth to take. But if we compare it with other SUVs already present in Indian car market, then its price range can change our mind from buying it as there are options available in market with cheaper price as well as better mileage capacity.
