Toyota launches Updated Innova: Celebrating 10th Anniversary in India

The car automotive industry witnessed its first launch of the year 2015 when Toyota Kirloskar motors launched an updated version of its MPV Innova on 5th January 2015 with a new price range between 10.51 lakh to 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Toyota launched ‘Innova’ limited edition in order to celebrate the successful 10 years journey of its MPV Innova brand in India. Innova received last update in October 2013 in both petrol and diesel engines at the price between 9.77-15.06 lakhs.

But this time updated Innova will be available only with diesel engine which produces 100bhp power and 200Nm torque paired to a manual transmission with 13.3L mileage. 2015 Innova is almost similar to the 2013 Innova except the few additions and off course with higher price. Toyota raised the price not due to new features but because of the rollback of excise duties by the government.

2015 Innova boards with some new features like smoked headlamps with chrome garnish, body graphics at the side profile, new front grille with silver bezel fog lamps, rear-combi tail lights with chrome accents, new dark grey 17 inch alloy wheels and new exclusive body paint option- Bronze MICA metallic and Silver MICA metallic.

Speaking of the cabin changes, New Innova gets a 6.1” touch screen display with voice recognition, navigation and bluetooth connectivity, dual tone seats with similar kind of treatment of door trims, A/C vents for 3rd row seats, and wood furnished steering wheel with many more features. New Innova gets dual front SRS airbags, ABS as standard.

Ltd speaking on the occasion of the launch has said; “The Innova and the Fortuner are two very successful products and both these vehicles are trend setters in the Indian automobile industry. Now with the Innova turning 10, it is indeed a proud moment for all of us at Toyota to have witnessed a successful journey for the past decade.”

“Alongside the launch of these two new products, we are very pleased to announce that TKM is the first manufacturer in the mass segment to have standardized front SRS airbags across all our models and in all grades,” he added.
