After launching new Innova, Toyota Kirloskar motors seem to bring Etios sedan facelift to the Indian market soon as it has been spotted on test runs. Toyota launched Etios sedan in 2010 followed by its facelift version in 2014 where it got significant exterior and interior updates still it didn’t able to set sales chart on fire. Toyota has launched a new Etios in Brazil and now its India’s turn.

The test mule was partially camouflaged from front and rear which suggests it getting mild cosmetic updates which might be new five slat front grille, revised front bumper with secondary air dam and revamped tail lamps. The side profile has been retained while rear receives a chrome strip joining the tweaked tail lamps and re-designed bumper.

The Etios is likely to sport inside the cabin such as new dashboard design, revised multi-function steering wheel; new instrument cluster with digital display, cruise control, three point seat belts, fresh upholstery and it might also get a touchscreen infotainment system.

The Current Etios Petrol is available in five trims JD, GD, VD, VXD and Exclusive while diesel is offered in J, G, V, VX and Exclusive. The mechanicals are expected to remain same and will draw the power from 1.5l engine developing 90PS of power and 140Nm of torque along with a 1.4 litre diesel mill that churns out 68PS power and 170Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol delivers a fuel efficiency of 16.7 Kmpl while diesel is good for 23.59 Kmpl.

With such mild updates, prices of Etios sedan are likely to fluctuate minutely. The Etios Petrol variants are available between Rs. 6.42-7.75 lakh while diesel comes in range of Rs. 7.55-8.88 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
