Maruti Suzuki Limited, commonly referred to as Maruti, is one of the leading car manufacturers of India and has consistently held one of the leading positions Indian passenger car market. It has recently launched its newer version of the Maruti SX4 and describes it as a vehicle which makes a bold statement with every drive it makes. Launched in mid size sedans sections, the Maruti SX4 is powered by the Super Turbo Diesel Engine and claims to be what the Indian man has been waiting for. The newer version has been launched with fresh exteriors and interiors. Maruti gives its consumers two engines options — the Super Turbo 1.3 litre diesel and the 1.6 Litre VVT petrol engine in the new SX4. The newer SX4 delivers an improved fuel efficiency of 6 per cent at the rate of 16.51km per litre in petrol while the Super Turbo Diesel version of SX4 delivers 21.79 km per litre. Consumers also have the option of a CNG version which returns a fuel efficiency of 22.1 km/kg.
The exterior of the SX4 has undergone a change and the newer SX4 is 10 mm longer. It now comes with muscular bumper with 2-tone front grille and fog lamp with dual-tone garnish. The SX4 exterior is refreshing, elegant and contemporary design with a wide and stable stance. The interiors of the car too have undergone a change and now boasts of a superior premium feel cabin which has integrated dashboard with class leading fit and finish. The seats too have changed and the new rich seat has fabric upholstery with dual tone black and beige interiors to enhance interiors. It also offers black and marble finish prints inside along with chrome finish AC side louvers and chrome finish inside side handles. The armrests on doors now come with wood finished trim which carries unique cubic design. Buyers of the new SX4 also have access to touch screen audio with navigation and Bluetooth; connectivity with GPS; multiple usage on single screen; audio support for directions and electrically foldable outside rear view mirrors with turn indicators.

Buyers can choose from two new interesting colours of the new SX4 which are Serene Blue and Granite Grey. It is also available in Glistening Grey, Beige, Silky Silver and Superior White which were already there for the older version. The higher end variant of SX4 namely ZXI and ZDI also have features such as airbags, ABS, EBD and BA. With no change in the price of the newer SX4 is sure to attract the mid sized sedan buyers.
