Renault India to launch two new Cars in 2015

French automotive car maker Renault is planning to launch to new models in India by 2015 as company is aiming to reach 5% market share in the country in next three years. Renault’s bestselling car Duster have achieved over 1 lakh sales mark since its launch which later dented by the Ford EcoSport. Renault India will expand its operations and facilities in the coming year which might be the fastest ramp ups by any automobile manufacture in India.

Sumit Sawhney, the country CEO and managing director of Renault Operations in India, told IANS. “Renault`s focus in 2015 will be on introducing two new products in very exciting segments-the MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) and the A-entry segment, which is the heart of the Indian automotive industry”.

He added, “We are taking major steps to increase our presence in India and will be entering the volume and growth segments to strengthen our position in India. We have a long-term focus on the market and are working towards achieving a 5% market share in the medium period within the next three years. This will be done both by launching new vehicles as well as expanding our dealer network,”

Renault is focusing on introducing some exciting range of products in one of the most developing segment MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) and A entry segment which is heart throb of the Indian buyers. Currently Renault India offers 5 models –Renault Fluence, Scala Pulse and SUV Duster and a premium SUV Renault Koleos. Renault also exports right hand drive Duster to markets which aims to make India as creation centre hub for right hand drive cars.

Renault India plans to expand its dealership to 175 by end of this year plus in south India outlets will reach 45 by this year end from 38. Apart from the augmenting their dealership range company is not only making a clear cut plan for 2015 but making production strategy for 2016 as well. Currently Renault India rolls out their product from Renault Nissan automotive India Pvt. LTD. with Joint Venture between Nissan Motors and Nissan motors.

According to Mr. Sawhney, “Our A-entry offering will be an exciting package with unique design cues. We are looking to increase our presence in the tier II-IV markets which will play a key role in the growth of the automobile industry in India, and our A-entry will play a key role in meeting this objective,”
