Adding to its launch onslaught, Mercedes-Benz has launched the eleventh of fifteen products in the form of AMG C63 S in India, today. The vehicle is an AMG version of C-class sedan and S distinct it as more powerful version of S63. Brought to the country via CBU (completely build-up unit) route, the C63 S is the 10th AMG model in the country which is available on sale across all Mercedes dealerships from today onwards.

Price:

Priced at Rs. 1.34 crores (ex-showroom Delhi), it is one of the bestselling models for the carmaker with last GEN model selling as many as 40,000 units last year. The S badge not only denotes more power but also pin down it as more tech loaded vehicle.

Engine:

The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S packs a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine which makes 503bhp of massive power between 5500-6250rpm and peak torque of 700Nm@1750-4500rpm. It is paired to a 7-speed AMG speed shift gearbox available with a choice five modes including comfort, race and individual mode and it also helps transferring power to rear wheels. Merc claims that C63 S can make 0-100km in just 4 seconds (1sec quicker the C63) with an electronically limited speed of 250km/hr.

Space and Dimensions:

With the wheelbase of 2840mm and 4756×1839×1426 of dimensions, the lavish sedan offers its occupants oodles of space inside with legroom and shoulder space not being an issue. The four door sedan has a boot capacity of 475 liters.

Colors:

The Performance sedan can be had in four paint color options- Brilliant Blue, Iridium Silver, Obsidian Black and Polar White.

Exterior:

The AMG performance S variant can be distinguished from standard S class sedan with following elements which include a sharper twin blade radiator grille, LED headlamps with raised eyebrow inspired LED DRLs, Sculpted bonnet, multi spoke 19 inch alloy wheels along with optional carbon ceramic brake package, side sill panels and V8 Bi-turbo badging on the edges.

In addition, one can customize it car with AMG performance pack which include a stroke of carbon fibre on front Apron, side sill and rear diffuser.

Interior:

Inside the cabin, you will find loads of Alcantara leather and carbon fibre while dashboard gets black ARTICO hand crafted with crystal grey stitching to give the premium feel. The bucket tyre sporty seats get contrast stitching with multiple Nappa leather upholstery options like black leather, platinum white and a combo of red pepper/black lifts up the sportiness quotient of the vehicle.

Other embellishments include an 8.2 inch head up display, automatic climate control, a flat bottom AMG steering wheel with mounted controls and paddle shifters, panoramic sliding sunroof, Burmester surround system with a 9-channel amplifier and 13 speakers, AMG centric instrument cluster, AMG branded floor mats, ambient lighting and illuminated door sill plates. The luxury car maker is also offering Designo package for customization options which include customize options for seats, dashboard and materials.

Safety:

As far as safety is concerned it comes loaded with TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring system), 7-airbags, pre-safe system, adaptive brake lights, ISOFIX child seat, attention assist and many more.
