The company has tried to make it one of the fuel efficient small models by offering the mileage figures of 20.6 km/l (ARAI certified) which seems impressive on looking at first. As per the company, Go can accelerate 0-100km/h in mere 13.3 seconds.

By doing this, a vacant space has been made in the left-hand side now which can be used for luggage holding or even a third person or a child can be adjusted at front row now, only if needed.

Though, the hatch users who have become habitual to use the emergency brake at left-side only could face the problem by equipment of that brake in front.

Other than this, the small GO is carrying a car boot of 265 liters, ground clearance of 170mm and wheelbase of 2450mm.

Interior:

At inside the cabin, company has done some wonderful experiments in this hatch model like the equipment of mobile docket on dashboard along with the USB charging and Aux-In portability at side, though Bluetooth connectivity is missing. The other essential features like manual AC, manual central locking, power windows at front etc are also making their warm presence in this car. Still, one experiment by company makes this hatch different from others is the availability of various packages of accessories as per the people’s daily need. These accessories packages include Women Edition, Family Package (in two different packs), Sporty Package, Trendy Package and Essential Package (in two different packs). One will have to pay extra money to avail any of these packages but it will also save the customers time and they can buy a bulk of features altogether instead of buying one at a time.

Safety:

Safety wise, the new hatch disappoints us. Datsun didn’t equip any required safety devices like ABS or airbag etc in GO not even as optional which can be raised as a major drawback in comparison to other same segment models.

Verdict:

Being the company’s first ever model in India, it’s a good and applauded try. Its affordable price, few advanced interior features, impressive mileage figure etc have tendency to make this car a deserving competitor of same segment. But still, there are some sections where improvement could be done by the company, especially when its competitors are Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai etc. Let’s see what will be the customers’ reactions on this trendy new hatchback.
