To enhance safety, several carmakers have begun equipping their vehicles with basic safety aids like front airbags and ABS. Volkswagen, Toyota and Ford are some of the carmakers that offer dual front airbags and ABS as standard across its lineup. Recently, the C-segment sedan Ciaz was updated with ISOFLIX child seats as standard feature. Now, Maruti Suzuki has updated the Nexa exclusive Baleno hatch and S-Cross in India with no price amendments.

Starting with S-Cross which gets new 16 inch gun metal grey alloy rims along with 15 inch alloy rims. The other Nexa product Baleno premium hatchback gets ISOFLIX child anchors as standard feature across the line up. With the addition of this feature, Baleno become compliant with BNVSAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program) norms.

Despite addition of features, Maruti Suzuki hasn’t made any modification in the prices of both models. Baleno continues to set you back in the price range of Rs. 5.24 lakh and Rs. 8.35 lakh while S-Cross is available between Rs. 8.02 lakh and Rs. 12.02 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

Baleno is already loaded with several safety aids such as dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), reverse parking sensors, seat belt force limiters with pre-tensioners.

The S-Cross hasn’t been able to make its mark in the Indian market due to quirky design, shaky price and better alternatives. With new revisions on both outside and inside, S-Cross facelift is expected to land on Indian shores by first quarter of 2017. Nexa dealers are currently pepping up for the welcome of its newest member Ignis hatchback which is slated for 13th January, 2017. Also, Baleno RS and Ciaz will also roll into the Nexa showrooms by early 2017.
