Maruti Alto K10 facelift will launch on January 2015; Details Revealed

Maruti Suzuki’s best selling and most successful car ‘Alto’ which has been around for quite a sometime with frequent facelift updations, Alto K10 launched in 2010 celebrated its fourth anniversary last month. Alto k10 facelift has been spied in Maruti’s Manesar plant and testing on roads as well. Upcoming Alto K10 will get its design from both previous gen alto and Maruti Celerio.

Maruti Alto K10 facelift will get same engine of Celerio, the 1.0L K series 998cc engine which develops 67.1BHP of max power and 90nm torque supported by 5 speed manual transmission. There are certain speculations about K10 facelift would get AMT as well as CNG option which certainly will grab the attention of Masses.

According to sources, K10 facelift will be available in three variants which are Lxi, Lxi+ and Vxi. Lxi will be available in both AMT and CNG and for Lxi+ there is still bit confusion whether it will available or not, but one thing is for sure that the suspension system of K10 will be rejuvenated which improves overall performance of the car.

Current K10 version delivers 20KPL mileage but after getting Celerio based engine fuel efficiency will improve from 20 to 23.1 KPL which gives extra advantage to new K10.

There will be some changes and similarities in Facelift k10 Alto like 13 inch wheels will be same like current version of K10 and front-rear bumpers, headlamps and grille would remain same as current K10.

  • Body colored ORVM’s ad door handles
  • A/C with heater
  • Black and silver coated wheel caps
  • Central locking
  • Power windows
  • Rear parcel trey
  • Door protection moldings
  • Different rear doors
  • New Taillights
  • Slight Different number plate positioning

The price of new Alto K10 might be around 3.3 to 3.8 lakhs and it will compete against Datsun Go, Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark.
