Mahindra launches more powerful TUV300 with mhawk100 engine at Rs. 8.98 lakh

Mahindra’s second vehicle in the compact SUV segment TUV300 has been a decent success and sold more than 25,000 units since its launch in September last year. Now, to up the ante against Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport, Mahindra has now launched the powerful version of the SUV with a new mhawk 100 engine that also does duty on NuvoSport. The 100bhp engine will be offered on range topping T8 variant with prices start at Rs. 8.98 lakh for the manual and Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the AMT variant.

The new engine brings increase in power and torque, powered by the same 1.5l mhawk diesel engine which now produces 100bhp power@3750rpm and 240Nm of torque between 1600-2800rpm as compared to 81bhp and 230Nm on standard variants. The engine is available with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

Apart from different badging on the sides exterior styling remains same as mhawk 80 variants while inside the cabin it receives better thigh support equipped second row seats and ISOFLIX child seat mounts.
