Honda to showcase three new engines with Earth Dream technology at Paris Motor Show

Honda is set to showcase three new engine based on new technology called Earth dream concept at this year’s Paris motor show which is scheduled to commence in first week of October. The Japanese car maker has list of new engines which includes-

  • 1.6L i-DTEC diesel engine which produces 160PS power and 350nm of peak torque which is floored for the four wheel drive new CR-V. This engine ensures better fuel efficiency and will be mated with optional 9 speed automatic transmission and this engine will replace current 2.2L engine of CR-V.
  • Besides this CR-V powered engine Paris motor show will witness the arrival of new 1.3L i-VTEC petrol engine which will be fitted in Honda’s new Jazz which will go on sale during mid 2015. This engine is also based on new earth technology and will be mated to 6 speed manual transmission replacing 5 speed manual gearbox.
  • Along with these engines HR-V 1.5L V-TEC petrol engine will also be part of Honda’s Dream technology which will mark its presence in Paris motor show. This engine is further sub divided into two engine options 1.6L i-DTEC Diesel engine and 1.5L vtec petrol engine, both the engines are equipped with 6 speed manual transmission and 1.5L VTEC engine will be fitted by  semi-automatic CVT transmission.
