A customer who booked with full down payment the new Sail 1.3 LS ABS diesel engine after a short test ride in Feb and didn’t get the car until 2 months, this annoyed him badly and made him think that there is some major problem at the manufacturing plant which they weren’t disclosing clearly. He also stated that if General Motors/Chevrolet doesn’t have cars to deliver they should not advertise the cars in public. He gave preference to Chevrolet Sail above Nisan Sunny, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Ford Fiesta and is now repenting. Finally he got the car and after running for 3700 kms the car is giving him just 15-17 kmpl on highways and 11-12 kmpl in city which is far less than what promised and the car lacks luxury and can seat only 4 people comfortably. He is totally dissatisfied with the car.

The fact of late delivery is agreed by many customers thus proving Chevrolet has poor customer service. One of them felt that SX4 is much much better than Sail. For those who are still thinking of buying Sail, test drive SX4 first and observe the difference.

A huge contradiction!! Another user found that this car was best among its segments. Curious..??? Read on.. According to him the pros of the car are ample space for head, leg and boot; driveability and control; and finally suspension. The cons are single airbag in LS ABS and window panel controls aren’t on driver’s side. A previous owner of Honda City, he thinks the cabin space in Sail is same as in City. There are also multiple pockets to keep all your articles. The gears are smooth and the engine is silent and pick up is ok not that good. The ground clearance is 168mm and thus better than his previous Honda City and has good stability due to wide wheelbase. The steering hydraulic and lets you come back to original position and requires low maintenance than an electric steering. Suspension is awesome which proves Chevy has perfectly designed this car for Indian terrains. He is also satisfied with the good sound quality of the music system.

Another user who drove the 1.3 LS ABS version of the car for few hundred km found the car is got a fuel efficiency of 19 kmpl. According to him the pros are the great mileage, quite engine and steering control and con being the rear gear shift indicator. Ride quality is good and grip is firm. He suggests Chevy to introduce front fog lamps in this version.

Yet another user who drove 1.3 LS ABS for few hundred kms found the car is good air conditioning  spacious interiors and has perfect finish. The car is stable at speeds higher than 80kmhr.

Overall the mileage of the car varies from terrain to terrain and also how users handle it. The exteriors on the front are good and resemble Cruze but the rear profile isn’t that attractive. You yourself are the best judje and pull your socks for a test ride.
